(October 2008)
As the scope of Christopherus' work grows, we have realized that Donna alone cannot meet the demand for consulting. And so, we are expanding our consulting with two new Christopherus consultants.
Barbara Benson and Lisa Marshall are experienced Waldorf homeschoolers who are eminently qualified to assist you with your day-to-day questions about working with Waldorf in your home. They are available for ad hoc (one-off) phone or e-mail appointments as well as for yearlong ongoing support.
Donna Simmons is available on a limited basis for consultation. She will work with homeschool co-ops, childcare providers and Waldorf teachers. She is also available for assessment consultations and for help with essays or creative writing with teens.

"I am thrilled to be working together with Lisa and Barbara on this venture. I have known them both for several years and was impressed by their knowledge, compassion, warmth and integrity as members of my (now closed) Yahoo group. When we opened the Waldorf at Home discussion forum in October 2006 I asked both to be moderators and have been deeply moved by their willingness to help fellow homeschoolers with their questions, challenges and inquiries."

"Hi I'm Lisa, forty-year-old mother to three children, daughters ages 9 and 10 and a son age 5. My formal education is in earth science with a B.S. from Claremont McKenna College in CA and an M.S. from Dartmouth College in NH. It was while doing research in Antarctica that I met Geoff, my husband of 12 years, a Navy officer and pilot. After school and before having children I taught middle school at two different private schools and taught an environmental education program for public school students. I grew up in many parts of the north-eastern U.S. - mostly in the N.Y. City area and in Reykjavik, Iceland where I attended middle school and high school. My interests and hobbies include, harmony singing, English and American country dancing, hiking and camping, photography, reading, cooking, politics, running, yoga, and most of all handwork especially knitting, quilting, and doll-making..." "Hello everyone! I am a mother of 5 children, including three sons in college, ages 19 (twins) and 22, and two daughters ages 11 and 9. My daughters were adopted from mainland China as infants. I have homeschooled all of my children, including high school with my sons. My primary reason for homeschooling my children way back in 1990 was that I wanted to have a more creative, one-on-one learning adventure with my family..." (read more)
