When we published the second volume of our Practical Waldorf at Home series, Kindergarten with your Three to Six Year Old, we thought it would be helpful to use our website to supplement the music in the book. We know that not everybody necessarily knows the tunes to traditional nursery rhymes or can read music.
We found a computer program, Noteworthy Composer, that enables the viewer to follow the written words and music whilst hearing the tune. We thought this would be a great help for those wanting to learn the songs in the book as well as helping people to read music (a skill worth having!).
To view these songs - listed below - you will need either the Noteworthy Composer Browser Plug-in or the Noteworthy Composer Viewer - both of which can be downloaded for free from Noteworthy Software's website.
The plug-in extends the capabilities of your web browser to include the display, playback and printing of Noteworthy Composer files. Download it from here: http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/composer/plugin.htm
Unfortunately, thanks to Microsoft, the plug-in will not work with more recent versions of Internet Explorer. If the plug-in does not work for you, you can download a small (317 KB) program called Noteworthy Composer 2 Viewer: http://www.noteworthysoftware.com/nwc2/viewer.htm
Note: we are not aware of any copyright restrictions with any of these songs - if there are, please do inform us!
