We don't yet have specific information about the legal requirements for homeschoolers in Australia, though we hope to remedy this soon.
In the meantime, we thought it might be helpful for Australians to see that our materials have met (and exceeded) what was required of 2 homeschooling families:

I wanted to let you and Paul know that we have just been given a recommendation for 2 years registration to homeschool by the New South Wales Board of Studies. As first-time applicants, a 2 year recommendation is unusual. We are using your 3rd grade syllabus, with a few modifications to include some Australian content (eg 4 weeks Native American, 4 weeks Aboriginal Australia). Your syllabus met all the key learning areas and the inspector was very impressed with its content and presentation. He particularly liked the maths work we had done last year (using your 2 grade maths book) and the values taught along with language arts (eg Saints and Heroes).

From time to time I've asked your thoughts or updated you on something that has happened. This time I want to say thanks! We use your year 2 curriculum, and I just love it. The content is simply beautiful with lovely stories, and of course very easy to use as per usual. The main reason I am thanking you today is for the legal information. We recently chose to register in order to make my life less complicated. In the plan I wrote, I mostly copied what you had provided. It was SO easy! I could have written it myself, but it would have taken me quite a while and used up a number of brain cells unnecessarily. PLEASE continue to have this information in your curriculum!
