What's Inside

  • Why Study Roman History?

  • How to Use This Unit Study

  • Working with Teens

  • Key Elements in Roman History

  • Important Dates in Roman History

  • Summaries - These are written by me and you can use them either as inspiration for your own summaries of work you've covered with your child or as they are. They can be copied by the student directly into his Main Lesson book or used as dictations.

  • Drawings and Maps - Use these to base your own drawings and maps on. If you are not up to this, then your child can simply copy what I have drawn.

  • Instructions for 2 art projects - Pep talks to get you on your way.

  • Quotes - Passages from historical figures which can be copied into main lesson books or used to spark discussion.

  • Poems - Can be copied into main lesson books and/or memorized.

  • Study Guides - The Bronze Bow (students 12 and up) and Ancient Rome: How It Affects You Today (10th Grade and up) - to provoke thought and discussion and give direction to essays.

  • Examples of Student Work - A creative story and a drawing by our son, Daniel.

  • Resources - A helping hand to get all the materials you need for your Unit Study.
