This book is an essential part of our Christopherus Ancient Mythology main lesson and is part of the Ancient Mythology bundle.
We selected this particular collection of stories because Lancelyn Green is a master storyteller who brings his subject to life. The book begins with a lively and informative Prologue which can be used to set the scene for the stories to follow. The stories themselves are woven together in such a way that the reader or listener gets a sense for the important themes and images which appear again and again in the myths of Ancient Egypt.
The book includes the myths of Ra, Isis, Osiris and other gods as well as stories of historical figures such as Queen Hatshepsut. It also includes the 4,000 year old story of the Shipwrecked Sailor; an Egyptian take on the story of Helen of Troy; and an Egyptian version of Cinderella.
