This book was a treasured part of my childhood and although I received the stories from my teacher in the Waldorf school I attended, I also loved to read this book over and over again, just reveling in the glorious illustrations. I am very pleased that we now carry this book and can offer it to you, both as the basis of the 4th grade Norse mythology main lesson in our 4th grade curriculum  and as a book others who are not using our curriculum might like to have as part of their family library.

A child who is read these stories not only experiences the moral ambiguity which resonates so deeply in the soul of the 10 year old, but also is gifted with an understanding of the culture of some of the people who later contributed to the creation of English world-view and language.
